My experience in Media and Information and how it affected my daily life

Media and information has long been an important thing in my life. It helps me keep updated and in touch with society and events happening around me. Such a thing is important as not everyday is the same and there will always be something new, be it good or bad. With major world news such as the outbreak of the COVID-19 in Wuhan, China affected thousands of people in different countries, it’s almost a necessity and a privilege to be enlightened by media and information to survive and be prepared. Media is also a very attractive and fun tool when it comes to entertainment, and education. It serves as a bridge between you and information, be it that information be educational, or simply entertainment value. In my experience, I really love the usefulness of media as everyday I read about major news, and also at the end of the day, I always try to entertain my self after a long day with social media and video broadcasting sites. Media in this age of information has really changed my life, for the better that’s for sure.

1. Ever since humanity learned how to grow crops to become self-sufficient, it has become a big and important industry that the world relies on to survive.

2. GMOs have become important in the food industry, because with this we can alter a specific fruit or vegetable’s genome sequence to make them more nutritious and safe. All done through Genetic Engineering. We plan to make growth of crops even faster through this.

3. But we won’t stop there, through cellular agriculture, we can produce meat through in-vitro cell culture of animal cells.

4. This means more food for everyone. Cheaper too.

5. Our artificially produced meat through cell agriculture could be a solution to prevent animal to human disease, and the environmental and health issues related to the livestock industry.

5. We will give a helping hand to everyone, with the profits from our product, we will donate and encourage women’s rights and equality in our society.

6. We will also protect the rights and lands of indigenous people in the Philippines, with our improved agriculture, we can also help them develop their own native lands.

7. We aim to have a global health impact by improving it, through our innovative food products.

8. We will also strive hard to make sure that no stomach is unfed, and help any country that has a lackluster agricultural system that causes widespread famine in their people.

9. All of this will be done just by the complex genetic engineering and programming of the basic structure that defines our life, DNA.

10. We aim to give a helping hand to the world, and make it a better place for us globally.

“The Power of Media and Information, and the Responsibility of the Users.”

Media and Information has become a very important aspect in our lives. We get our information from media and media has the power to influence us with the information it decides to give. Almost anybody can become a media creator and output media content, and this could be a very good thing, or a very bad thing, which is why any upstanding and law abiding users of media has a big responsibility when it comes to using media. Whether you are a creator of media content, or simply a consumer or audience, everyone has a duty to become responsible when surrounded by media content because irresponsible use of media has a high potential of harming you or someone else.

All of us would like to believe that everybody should be nice and kind to each other, but however, on the internet, anonymity is a given and not everyone is entitled to be nice to strangers. This is why there are much harassment, arguments, bullying all over the internet. I am also speaking of internet because it is one of the biggest sources of media and information out there. When you are using the internet, and you have no background knowledge of malicious use of internet and how it could affect you, you could easily fall victim to anybody who wishes to do harm on you. There are many malicious ways to use the internet, one could steal credit card information, personal information, social media accounts, deceive you into paying a “fee” from “official” government organization even though they’re not, and many more. That is why everyone who wishes to use media, and consumes information, should become aware and responsible to the possible malicious events that they may encounter. They should stay aware of all the fake news and information, and all the scams that go around the internet, because the internet can be a cruel place sometimes and can become very harmful mentally, and even physically.

The easy access to media and information has given not only us convenience, but also to those who wish to commit crimes and frauds even more convenience. Cybercrimes are an actual thing, and those proficient in computer software and programming can use their knowledge for malicious intent. Spying can also become a very big problem. It is important that you make sure that you do not give anybody, especially strangers access to your personal information and make sure that all of the software that you download are safe and free from malware.

In this world where almost anybody can connect with each other, one has to be responsible and “street smart” when scrolling through media. And to those that wish to use internet for malicious purposes, justice shall prevail on you. Always be careful when using the internet and remember that you should stay safe, and ask others for help when possible.
